SOME GOOD ADVICE!
Always recommended: Bring plenty of fluids, snacks and or lunches according to the length of the hike, comfortable hiking boots
and walking stick(s).
Contact the hike leader before the hike if you need more information. Use an adequate protective sunscreen on sunny days and bring a mosquito repellent
with DEET during the mosquito seasons. Wear a hat to protect your face and head. Carry your valid hiking club membership card with you on the trails. Note that all hikes and skiing are weather permitting, call the hike leader to confirm.
Please note, if you like to introduce a friend to walking, bring him or her out to an organized hike. Our hikes are
open to the public. All the hike leader will ask for is co-operation with respect
to the Trail Users Code (see above), considering that the Elgin Hiking Trail is on private properties, giving us unique access
to fantastic scenery.
