The Elgin Hiking Trail Club issues a quarterly newsletter, "the PATHFINDER", outlining the next three month's activity schedule, other important events inviting members and others to participation,  plus reports and articles from our members and the executive. Activities are year around and besides hiking, could also include skiing, snowshoeing and canoeing.

Anyone interested in receiving a complimentary copy of our latest newsletter, wanting to become a member of our hiking club or looking for more information, e-mail the Elgin Hiking trail Club by clicking on the "contact us" below or call Henk at 519-631-6654 or Brian at 519-633-3064:

We are also a member of Hike Ontario and thus information on the Elgin Hiking Trail Club is available through their website. We are part of the Ontario Legacy Trails which connects our trail with many others in our Province.

Our Club is fortunate in having great relations with the local Kettle Creek Conservation Authority and the Catfish Creek Conservation Authority. Various events are taking place on their respective properties all through the year, one being the Christmas Spirit Walk in the Springwater Conservation Area on candle lit paths, being entertained by local Church and other Choral Groups and performing individuals. A seasonal impressive event!!

Just think of it, all these activities plus trail maintenance plus involvement in the (local)Trans Canada Trail efforts, etc is all done by dedicated volunteers, as is with most hiking clubs in Ontario and in Canada.

With that, we are always looking for new input in running our organization, so... interested?????? contact us by e-mail, snail mail or call the numbers listed on our home page for further information.
