CHECK OUT OUR NEW PICTORIAL PAGES ON SECTIONS OF THE ELGIN HIKING TRAIL AND ALL IT'S ACCESS POINTS. You will have a better idea where you can enter the trail at all road crossings , be aware of the terrain to cross and see some of the wonderfull sights and vistas on our trail.
The first section is from SOUTHDEL BOURNE at the border of Elgin and Middlesex Counties, just north of hwy.401 to PAYNES MILLS on hwy. 3 (Talbot Line). The second is from PAYNES MILLS to the TRESTLE BRIDGE on the corners of Fingal Line and Sunset Drive.  The third section is from the TRESTLE BRIDGE to MELLOR ROAD, at the end of Fruit Ridge Line off Sunset Drive and the last section is from MELLOR ROAD to PORT STANLEY on the main beach.

Welcome to the home page of the Elgin Hiking Trail Club, South Western Ontario's jewel of trails, 41 Km of trails thru the Carolinian Forests of S.W.Ontario with trail elevations of approx. 70 meters. The trail borders the Dodd and Kettle creek from Paynes Mills to the village of Port Stanley on Lake Erie and going north from Paynes Mills to connect with the Thames Valley Trail west of London as the link to the Legacy Trails of Ontario.
